Meet Atlas, a resilient soul discovered wandering alone in a field in San Bernardino County. When animal control found him, they brought him to the Devore Animal Shelter, where he patiently waited, hoping his family would come for him. Sadly, no one came.
Canine Rescue Club stepped in,
Atlas is now 6 months out of the shelter but no one has stepped up for him, loving nature with people and is gradually being introduced to socializing with other dogs - We don't know his past but one thing is for sure, he is slowly regaining his trust in other dogs. Once bonded he does well with dogs the same size as him, but struggles still with resource guarding valuable things like treats and toys, since he was likely deprived of these things from a young age. So far, he’s thriving in human company, and we’re optimistic that he’ll make a fantastic companion in his forever home. - Currently, he would do best as an only dog, and with someone who wants to show him the world is full of love, and to regain his trust in other dogs.
