Pressed for time and racing against the clock, we found ourselves darting between city and county shelters to pull dogs to safety. To ensure they were ready to fly to Idaho the next morning, we transformed the back of a @rivianofficial van into a makeshift pop-up clinic, where our rescue pack received their health certifications. Thanks to the tireless efforts of @greendogdentalvet , who worked through the night, every single dog passed.

@canineschoolofbehavior hosted the rescues, rotated them for exercise through the night, and even ran further play and behavior assessments.

An incredible way to make a difference for dogs in L.A. right now: foster a dog through your favorite local rescue. Advocate for them, show them off, and help them find their people. Fostering saves lives.

What we thought would take two days of fosters stepping up to help dogs, we accomplished in just one! It’s a valuable lesson for us: when it comes to dogs, L.A. doesn’t mess around!

Today was a whirlwind of beautiful chaos. We’re incredibly grateful to all of you who showed up with nothing but a determination to help.

Our Rescue Club didn’t know which dog they would be taking home, but came with open hearts, ready to make a difference for dogs in need.

CLEAR THE SHELTERS // A small step forward with our initiatives to fly 300+ shelter dogs out of LA and into safe havens in neighboring states. We are so grateful for every single person that showed up today for the dogs that need us most.

This weekend, alongside @pawsforlifek9 and @dogppl the efforts continue. Our goal: 200+ dogs into foster homes by Sunday night.

Getting 200 dogs out of the kennels at Paws for Life temporarily allows us to continue transporting dogs out of LA City shelters and into their facility to be cleared for their forever flight out of LA and into safety.

As the Palisades Fire continues to unfold, the impact on our community's beloved dogs and their families is profound. Many have been displaced, left vulnerable, and are in urgent need of support. While the full scope of the needs is still coming into focus, your generous donations are vital to ensuring we can act quickly and effectively to provide relief where it is most needed.

At this moment, we are receiving donations to establish a flexible fund that will be allocated to the areas of greatest need. While details continue to emerge, we are prepared to use these funds in the following ways:

- Emergency Shelter and Safety: Providing displaced dogs with temporary housing, safe transport, and necessary supplies for evacuation.

- Medical Care: Covering the costs of veterinary treatment, medications, and vaccinations for injured or at-risk dogs.

- Food and Essentials: Supplying nutritious food, clean water, and comfort items like bedding to dogs in temporary shelters.

- Shelter Support: behavioral support, fostering, or adoption services as needed.

We are immensely grateful for your generosity during this time of uncertainty. Your contributions empower us to adapt swiftly as the situation evolves, ensuring that every dollar is used where it can make the biggest impact for dogs in need.
